About this role

We are seeking an Upper Primary Bilingual Homeroom Teacher to cultivate curiosity, relational learning, academic growth, and transferrable competencies in both English and German.

Responsibilities

  • Know learners and be responsive

  • Design purposeful, relevant learning

  • Set high expectations and provide support

  • Engage students as active learners

  • Use evidence to respond and improve

  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum

  • Communicate student progress directly through in-person conferences, written reports, and school-defined platforms

  • Attend, chaperone, and actively participate in one residential trip a year with students

Requirements

  • Fluency and instructional mastery in English and German

  • Expertise in Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL)

  • Proven ability to create learner-centered experiences through project -based learning and authentic assessments

  • Relational practitioner focused on child development

  • Commitment to building trust and partnership with families

  • Skilled at supporting multi lingual learners in both languages

  • Proved capacity to foster inclusive classroom cultures

  • Flexible, adaptive and collaborative

Preferences

  • Experience planning and teaching through an interdisciplinary approach

  • Skills and willingness to be engaged in the wider community through sports and activities

Experience & credentials

Minimum experience: 3 years

Experience

  • Demonstrated expertise in upper primary curriculum design, inquiry-based learning, literacy and numeracy

  • Proven capability to support multilingual learners, differentiate instruction, and design student-centered learning

  • Strong collaboration skills,. cultural fluency, and commitment to ongoing professional reflection

Credentials

Relevant degree and official teaching credentials for Primary Education

Fluency in German (C2) and English

Compensation & benefits

Compensation

Depending on education and experience you can expect a salary between CHF 85'000 - 102'400.
